Coraline Jones is a girl of 11 who is feisty, curious, and adventurous beyond her years. She and her parents have just relocated from Michigan to Oregon. Missing her friends and finding her parents to be distracted by their work, Coraline tries to find some excitement in her new environment. She is befriended--or, as she sees it, is annoyed--by a local boy close to her age, Wybie Lovat and visits her older neighbors, eccentric British actresses Miss Spink and Forcible as well as the arguably even more eccentric Russian Mr. Bobinsky.

After these encounters, Coraline seriously doubts that her new home can provide anything truly intriguing to her, but it does; she uncovers a secret door in the house. Walking through the door and then venturing through an eerie passageway, she discovers an alternate version of her life and existence. On the surface, this parallel reality is similar to her real life--only much better. The adults, including the solicitous Other Mother, seem much more welcoming to her. Coraline is more the center of attention there--even from the mysterious Cat.

She begins to think that this Other World might be where she belongs. But when her wondrously off-kilter, fantastical visit turns dangerous and Other Mother schemes to keep her there, Coraline musters all of her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home--and save her family.

.:.Dakota Fanning - All Grow Up.:.

12:13 AM

Dakota Fanning looked stylish and mature in heels and a jumpsuit on her way to The Late Show last night. Her chat with Dave won't air until Friday, but Dakota recently addressed the Twilight rumors and taking on grown-up roles in an interview with Parade. Here's more:

* On the Twilight rumors: "It's definitely being discussed but it's not set in stone. It would be really cool to be a part of Twilight if it works out. I'm a big fan. I saw the first movie but I haven't read all of the books yet, I'm working on it. I would be a vampire, which could really prove that I can be sweet, little Dakota Fanning and then I can be something different on the screen."

* On growing up: "I can no longer do Lucy in I Am Sam. You have to grow up and I am doing it through films. Most people haven't seen me maybe as grown up as they will in Push. But eventually I'm probably going to play the person that you hate. I think that's the fun part about acting."

* On being starstruck: "I remember when I was very little my idol was Britney Spears. I had just come to California and that's just who I wanted to meet. So I was in a store and she walked in and my jaw just fell to the floor. I started like sweating. I could not believe that I was meeting her. She told me that I was very cute. And I lost it — I was so excited."

Dakota has always seemed mature for her age, and it sounds like she's excited to continue branching out and honing her talents as she works right on through her teen years.

EPISODE 10 (03 Feb 2009)

So… disappointing kiss aside… the episode today was still something worth watching… it may not have been as great as the episode yesterday but to me, it is a turning point for Junpyo and Jandi’s relationship since the evil witch of a mom is now bent on making the life of Jandi and those close to her a living hell…

(I seriously had difficulty breathing in that scene where Jandi had this harebrained idea of having Jun Pyo join a mall contest for a cellphone in one of THEIR establishments and his mom arrived… I had to pause and take a deep breath coz i felt as if my heart was about to leap out of my chest and i’ve never been as scared watching any horror flick in the past… Seriously, the actress who plays Jun Pyo’s mom makes a great villainess from the likes of Ursula from the Little Mermaid and Cruella DuVille from 101 Dalmatians… wahahaha!

If Lee Minho’s stares towards Jandi in that kiss scene yesterday would make her melt… i was just waiting for Jandi to turn to stone today from that icy, cold glare that his mom directed towards her…)

The cookie scene had always been one of my favorite scenes in any version of this drama and this one, though not as sweet as the Taiwanese one was still able to stir my heart… The painstaking care that Jandi put into the thought of making those cookies and the elaborate design that she placed on those facial expressions was somehow a slight glimpse and a brief revelation to me, of how deeply JunPyo has now wormed his way into her heart… Junpyo as always did not disappoint with his excited way of receiving that gift from Jandi as if she had just given him a brand new car… perhaps we could all really learn from Junpyo that it is indeed the thought that counts rather than the value of the thought… (On the other hand… that’s easy to do and to say if you have EVERYTHING already just like Junpyo…wahahaha!)

And Jihoo, Jihoo, Jihoo… is this guy born with the right sense of timing or did he seriously plant a GPS on Jandi that he can be there whenever and wherever she’s in need? How i wish i had a friend like him… I’ve always been a Dao-San Cai/Makino-Doumyouji shipper but seeing how they’ve made Jihoo out to be such an all around nice guy in this series… i really would not mind if Jandi ends up with him in the end… (well, maybe i’m exaggerating because i’d definitely mind but what i meant was that either of Junpyo and Jihoo would make for such a great boyfriend given how dedicated they are to the woman they love…)

On this note, this is another area where Junpyo earns my admiration because even if Jihoo and Jandi sort of had a thing in the past (which caused him so much heartache)… he still has no issues about letting them hang out together… If i were in his shoes, i will tie Jandi up at home and declare Jihoo as a stay 500 meters away territory… hehehe!

But in fairness to Jihoo, he really does not take advantage of the situation and is very helpful in resolving the problems between the couple… I guess it is best for Jandi to confide in Jihoo too among others since he knows Junpyo very well knowing the close friendship that they’ve had for years…

As for Yijung and Gaeul… my heart broke into little pieces for Gaeul because of the terrible let down that she has experienced in this episode… just when her perception of Yijung has changed and she thought that there could be something more between them, Yijung gave her a big let down and just when Gaeul is most vulnerable… again… another lesson to be learned from this episode which is to never take things at face value and never assume! If in doubt… ASK!

But kidding aside, i sincerely hope that there’d be a happy ending to their story… i’ve always loved this angle from both versions and i feel so shortchanged about how it ended… maybe this version will give us that much needed closure…

I would not rave that much about Junpyo anymore since i always do that no matter what the circumstances are… but for me, a man who can stand up to his snobbish, elitist, snooty, beeyatch of a mother to fight for the woman he loves is a man worth loving indeed…

So yes… the actual kiss might have been a bit of a downer…

but there is more than enough that helped me get through this episode… just like the way that Minho took charge and weaved his way towards Jandi to plant that smackeroo in front of his mom and that crowd? for someone like Junpyo to profess his love like that? to prove that action does speak louder than words?

THAT ACT TO ME, IS MORE SPINE TINGLING, MORE MIND NUMBING, MORE EARTH SHAKING, MORE OVERWHELMING THAN ANY OTHER PASSIONATE KISS… (yes, i’m grasping at straws here and trying to cure myself from disappointment so just help me out please… wahahaha!)

And if all else fails… i would still tune in if only to see Hyun Joong with those dark rimmed glasses on, that ponytail, sky blue button down polo, dark rinse jeans and white sneakers that made me seriously… say ONE MORE TIME and i’d take this BOY OVER FLOWERS anyday…

PS: I just have to say that Hyun Joong made me laugh so much in the NG… especially when he talked to the horse and said “really? you want to die?” when it was not cooperating… wahahaha! That’s so him! He’s really more Junpyo in real life than Jihoo…

Minho and Kim Bum were such cuties… ADORKABLE! I wish there’s more…

EPISODE 9 (02 February 2009)

OTTOKE! WHAT TO DO?

I just finished rewatching Boys Before Flowers episode for tonight and i am seriously going nuts, crazy, loonie, dead on addicted to this series…

It started out as mere curiosity but it had gradually ingrained itself deep into my heart and now… NOW…I AM FRIGGIN’ IN LOVE WITH IT…

To anybody else out there who might ask where Romance is hiding… IT IS IN KKOTBODA NAMJA…Satiate yourself they have plenty…

This episode started out with Junpyo waking up in Jandi’s family home… Obviously, he woke up irritated and nonplussed…unused to the unfamiliar sorroundings… but by the end of this scene… we can see him having the grandest ole time of his life…

Like a kid who had been deprived of candy all his life and who was finally asked to gorge himself inside a sweets shop… he was curious and overwhelmed by the deep sense of family that the Geums have and which he never experienced… (which does not come as a shock anymore having been raised or rather virtually raised by a beeyatch of a mother…) At the end of it all, i am rather curious as to whom he is more in love with… Geum Jandi or the comic tandem of her father and brother…

But what’s romance without conflict? We see the beginnings of a storm brewing with Junpyo’s mom raising hell over the fact that he’s nowehere to be found and the lovebirds had their first commoner date which was a double with GaEul and her jerk of a boyfriend… (that’s what you get when you go with someone who just walks up to you on the street, taps you on the shoulder and ask you to see a movie…) Which of course, we very well know ended in disaster from previous versions…

But that’s where the familiarity end… We wondered at the beginning where Jandi and Junpyo’s chemistry was and i am now telling you… THEY SAVED IT FOR THIS EPISODE… the screen was pretty much crackling with the electricity and heat that this pairing generated that even the simple act of Jandi feeding Kimchi to Junpyo and Junpyo tugging on the sleeves of her sweats to bring her hands closer to her mouth had me grinning like crazy… What more the hand holding? The arm grabbing? The sweet words that they exchanged (although embarassingly)… I was giggling like a schoolgirl in all of those moments…

But more than that… it was the kiss of course that brought me to spazz heaven… It was not the kiss itself which i went crazy over but the tenderness in Minho’s face before that act… the kiss was a lip press (again) but my gosh! LEE MINHO! What an actor! I could drown in his stares and melt on his lips… I seriously had tears in my eyes the moment that he stooped down in front of her because i can feel how sincerely he loves Jandi… How deep and wide the extent of his heart is for her and it just moves me… Seeing this proud person brought down to his knees by a mere scrap of a girl whom he would just like to give his whole life to…

i just kept on thinking to myself that “GEUM JANDI… YOU MUST START SINGING PRAISES AND WALK ON THE AISLE OF EVERY POSSIBLE CHURCH YOU SEE KNEELING TO THANK THE GOOD HEAVENS FOR THIS GEM OF A PERSON WHO LOVES YOU BAR NONE…”

Other things that i absolutely adored from this episode:

1. The iceskating scene
2. Junpyo pretending not to know who Jandi is when she called even if he got excited just reading her name on his phone
3. Junpyo again pretending to just appear on the date coincidentally when it was his intention to really go
4. Jandi’s leap kick to GaEul’s jerky ex… (i seriously laughed at her thuglike approach)
5. Jandi apologizing to Junpyo and Junpyo wanting her to call him oppa
6. Jihoo taking a bite out of Jandi’s apple of apology much to Junpyo’s ire (Boylet was seriously soooooooo cute in this scene)

As much as i loved this episode of course there is a dull ache that stirs within my heart whenever i see JiHoo… His sacrifice may be noble but oh my gosh! i can just imagine the pain he’s going through having to see Junpyo and Jandi happy… he is happy to see them happy but i’m sure it must still hurt… i don’t think i have the guts to be as self sacrificing as this guy… (and why oh why do they have to play that oh so lonely piano music whenever he’s on… are they tearing my heart to shreds?)

Please somebody get this guy a girl at the end of the show ASAP… If there’s none… THERE’S ME… wahahaha!

I am also now starting to appreciate the YiJeong-GaEul scenes and Kim Bum can really turn whatever vehicle he goes on to an acting piece… Again, the sax playing to me was a little corny but let’s give it to them since they want to portray Yijeong as “savvy”…

I just find it a little funny that GaEul’s makeover was wayyyyyyyy better than that of Jandi’s and i’m wishing they could have given her the same kind of effort…

Overall, this episode would again make me dream of Junpyo in my sleep and perhaps be able to give comfort to Jihoo even just in my dreams…

Goodnight everyone! Till episode 10 tomorrow…

Somebody’s been working out… OH YEAH! A far cry from the lean frame that we saw on episode 6 during the Caledonia trip… LOOK AT EM ABS!

.:.Taylor Swift - Love Story.:.

9:02 PM

We were both young when I first saw you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts:
I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air.

See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns.
See you make your way through the crowd
and say hello;

Little did I know
That you were Romeo; you were throwing pebbles,
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet."
And I was crying on the staircase,
begging you, 'Please, don't go.'"

And I said,
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'"

So I sneak out to the garden to see you.
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew.
So close your eyes; escape this town for a little while.
'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter,
And my daddy said "Stay away from Juliet,"
But you were everything to me; I was begging you, 'Please, don't go,'"

And I said,
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'

Romeo save me - they're tryin' to tell me how to feel;
This love is difficult, but it's real.
Don't be afraid; we'll make it out of this mess.
It's a love story - baby just say "Yes.'"

Oh.

I got tired of waiting,
Wondering if you were ever comin' around.
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town,

And I said,
"Romeo save me - I've been feeling so alone.
I keep waiting for you but you never come.
Is this in thy head? I don't know what to think-"

He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said,
"Marry me, Juliet - you'll never have to be alone.
I love you and that's all I really know.
I talked to your dad - go pick out a white dress;
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'"

Oh, oh.

We were both young when I first saw you...

The Uninvited is a Hollywood remake of Korean's The Tale of Two Sisters. Anna returns home after spending time in the hospital following the tragic death of her mother. Her recovery suffers a setback when she discovers her father has become engaged to her mother's former nurse. That night, Anna is visited by her mother's ghost, who warns her of Rachel's intentions. Together, Anna and her sister try to convince their father that his current fiance is not who she pretends to be, and what should have been a happy family reunion becomes a lethal battle of wills between stepdaughters and stepmother.

Genres: Suspense/Horror and Remake
Running Time: 1 hr. 27. min.
Release Date: January 30th, 2008 (wide)
Starring: Elizabeth Banks, David Strathairn, Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel, Kevin McNulty (II)
Directed by: Thomas Guard, Charles Guard

Anna, a beautiful teen girl (Emily Browning) is being released from a mental hospital. A therapist advises Anna to 'finish things that she has started', implying be productive and positive going forward. We learn Anna recently has lost her invalid mother in a fire, causing her breakdown.

She returns to her New England mansion along the shoreline. Her father (David Straitharn) introduces his new girlfriend To Anna's distress it is Rachel (Elizabeth Banks), the former at-home-nurse for her sick mother. Her mother had been housed in the family boathouse, and died when it burned down. It has now been restored, distressing Anna. We meet Anna's older sister Alex, and Matt, who makes out with Anna that night. He has something to tell Anna about the fire, but is stopped by Rachel's arrival. Meanwhile Rachel continues to try to befriend the girls, as they all fake their smiles.

Anna that night has a vision (we don’t see her as asleep) of the grotesque burned corpse of her mother warning her about Rachel, by pointing in her direction, with a bell around the wrist she used to summon help when she was alive. Anna tells her sister the next day about the warning. Her sister says it was not a nightmare, "you looked awake". They plan to snoop around about who Rachel really is or wants.

In town Anna has a vision of three ghostly children in a diner (appears to be another vision). She finds Matt, who agrees to tell Anna more about the fire when they are alone that night. Back home, Alex and Anna rummage through Rachel's belongings find different ID cards, call past employers, and google Rachel's name. All of this calls her identity into question. Anna confronts Rachel, implying she is an imposter. Rachel threatens she will just tell her dad she is having mental problems again. The sisters agree more evidence is needed before telling their dad, who announced Rachel is actually his fiancée.

That night in her room Matt is about to tell Anna about the fire. Instead he turns into some kind of creature with a broken back, similar to what Anna saw resembling her mother. He says her mother tried to warn him but he didn’t listen. We see that it is actually daylight when Anna leaves her room. Offshore police boats dredge up Matt's body. The Sheriff says Matt broke his back in an accident while coming to see Anna, and he knows how she must feel, so he can talk to him about anything. Later Anna shows Alex claw marks on arms as they talk in front of the bathroom mirror, as proof it was not a dream. They talk in the bathroom in many scenes, presumably to avoid Rachel.

At Matt's funeral, Anna sees the same ghostly children. They lead her to their graves in the woods. She googles the names on the family plot. Their teen nanny, who fell in love with their father, stabbed them to death some years ago. Anna concludes the teen nanny is Rachel, who now repeats the pattern of murdering their mother to be with their father, and they are to die next. A photo mother who was killed by the nanny shows her pearls, like the ones Rachel wears all the time.

Anna confronts Rachel and steals the pearls as her proof of the past murders. Rachel tries to inject Anna from her nursing supplies. Before Anna escapes to town, she sees Alex is injected and sedated on the ground. She goes to the Sheriff with her story about the murdering nanny. He seems to recall the story, and asks her to wait there while he helps Alex. Only he returns with Rachel, who injects her saying "its ok I’m a nurse" and she is taken back home. While being put to bed by Rachel, Anna sees Alex sneak up behind Rachel, before Anna passes out.

Anna awakens and finds Alex standing outside covered in blood with a knife, saying, "There was no other way". We see Rachel's bloody corpse in a trash bin. When her dad returns, he yells at Anna "what did you do!" Anna says it was Alex had to do it, as the sisters hold hands. Her dad says, "Anna, you know Alex is dead. She died in the fire." This is the flashpoint of the movie. We now see Anna alone covered in blood, holding the knife, not her sister's hand.

Several prior scenes now replay, but now show Anna always alone, talking to herself, implying a psychotic hallucination. This was hinted when Anna talks to her sister as they face the bathroom mirror. When people do this, it looks like they are talking to their reflection. Also, no one addressed Alex directly, but the direction is incoherent anyway.

Now by flashback we see what happened in the fire. Anna saw her dad having sex with Rachel while her mom was bedridden in the boathouse. She seemed to be carting kerosene from the boathouse to burn the main house down with her dad/Rachel inside. She accidentally spilled kerosene, killing her mom and sister instead. Then she was put in the mental ward.

As Anna is being driven away in the squad car, she looks placidly back at her dad. The sheriff mentions the name in Anna's murdering nanny story to her dad. He says it was never Rachel's name, but Rachel did change her name to avoid a stalking ex boyfriend. Neither mentions anything about a murdering nanny story.

Some time later at the mental ward, a contented looking Anna colors and tells her therapist "I did what you said. I finished what I started." We see that Anna's cellmate has the teen nanny's name and carries pearls. This implies the nanny story was also a delusion, since the Sheriff never repeated it when he asked her dad about Rachel's name change.

The direction and story are incoherent, but it is implied overall that Anna originally was trying to kill her father and Rachel for their affair, but accidentally killed her mom and sister. So she returned to kill Rachel and destroy her father. Everything else we were shown was part of Anna's psychosis. - Dan T (Movie spoiler)

ANNOUNCEMENT:

HI GUYS! I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO HAS SPENT THEIR TIME ON THIS BLOG. I'M THINKING (JUST THINKING 4 THE TIME BEING) THAT I PROBABLY NEED TO CLOSE/STOP THIS BLOG DUE TO INCREASING WORKLOAD IN THE OFFICE NOWADAYS. THIS BLOG WAS FIRST CREATED WITH THE INTENTION TO PROVIDE MY SISTER WITH AN ONLINE SITE FOR ALL THE LATEST DRAMA AND NEWS (SINCE SHE'S IN HOSTEL). BUT SINCE WE ALSO DOWNLOADED THE DRAMA, AND MY WORKLOAD ISSUE, I DUN THINK SHE WOULD MIND ME CLOSING IT. I KNOW THIS BLOG IS JUST ANOTHER SITE WITH THE SAME CONTENTS OF OTHER ONLINE SITE, SO I DON'T THINK ANYBODY WILL FEEL ANYTHING/LOST ABOUT IT. AGAIN, THIS IS JUST A PLANNING. IF WORKLOAD IS GETTING ON ITS TOLL, IT WILL BE REALLY HARD FOR ME TO UPDATE SUBBED DRAMA'S AS SOON AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE.

Please report for any broken link or post's problem. Thank you!

DailyMotion Tips:

To view DailyMotion videos within the RCP page, click somewhere in the middle of the video progress bar. If you cannot find where the progress bar is located, click just below the line (or on the line) separating the upper black video screen and the lower gray navigation bar. Try it. It works!

ViiKii's Playing Guide:

1. Sometimes their videos take quite a long time to load. Please wait.

2. A default video will have all the caption, subtitles and comments coming out and can be very tiredsome, therefore move your cursor over the video and click on the selected option that you want to turn off (usually the comments and discussion)

3. If any part of the video is not loaded even after waiting for sometimes, it could either be that your connection is too slow OR the source of the video has been deleted or broken.

UPDATES:

Viikii server crashed and they lost some videos. They are now trying to remake or sub anew and re-upload the affected videos. Because of this, it is possible that some videos for the episodes posted here will not work anymore; some may be missing or may contain the wrong series.

Please report for any broken videos either in the comment area or the shout box. Thank you.
