Kiina Haruse, seems to be a normal 29 years old woman, quite sentimental, addicted to sweets, enjoying astrology and can be considered as a failure in regard to her love life. However, she is also a very talented detective who solved cases based on the combination of her intuitions, exceptional photographic memory, meticulous observations and analytical character. Therefore she's always assigned to difficult, strange, mysterious or even supernatural investigations. Kiina is the head but also only member of a special investigation unit within nicknamed “Beppan” until the rookie cop Takeru Yamazaki, a passionate and ernest newcomer who aspired to be an outstanding detective, becomes her co-worker against his will. Takeru indeed disagrees with Kiina's weird methods and doesn't really feel thrilled by the “Beppan” weird cases.
